Camelids and Ultrasound 101 with local 4H Llama club
The club is very active with a local 4H llama club. Every fall and spring, the club offers an educational lession to the 4H group. In exchange, the 4H group teaches the club aspects of llama care and behavior.
At this event, the 4H club was able to watch a UGA veterinarian conduct several ultrasounds on the herd followed by a power point presentation discussing neonatal care. The 4H club in return taught the small ruminant and camelid club how to halter a llama and assess conformation.
